Mirror mirror on the wall
Mirrors are a wonderful addition to any home - they make a room seem bigger by reflecting the space surrounding them, they bring light to a room, and they personalise a space. What I love about mirrors is the infinite variety available to choose from...
Antique cast iron mirrors...
Shell mirrors - this one is actually made from oyster shells...

Timber mirrors with beautiful architectural detail...

Simple or ornate painted mirrors...

Venetian mirrors...

Gilt edged mirrors...

There are so many different styles available to suit any type of home and any type of space. What's your favourite? Mine is definitely timber mirrors.
I have a large mirror sitting on top of my chest of drawers in my bedroom - I found the frame in pieces at a garage sale and bought it for $5. My husband put the frame back together, gave it a coat of Danish oil and placed a piece of mirror in it. I think it does the job well.
And I love the lillies, orchids and roses I have sitting in front of my mirror at the moment - they make the room seem so fresh and welcoming...
