Vik Muniz was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and lives and works in NYC. Muniz works in many materials including chocolate syrup, caviar, diamonds, junk, dust and pigment to name a few. He has exhibited his work in major museums and galleries around the world including solo exhibitions at Miami Art Museum, Miami, Florida; Seattle Art Museum, Seattle, Washington; P.S. 1. MoMA, Long Island City, NY; Museu de Arte de São Paulo Brazil; Victor Pinchuk Foundation, Kiev, Ukraine; Museum of Contemporary Art, Montréal, Quebec, Canada; and Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art,Gateshead, UK.
