In the Jungle

In Crocodile Dundee, the wardrobe for Linda Kozlowski's character consisted of easy khakis, linen and a breezy silk scarf to wrap around her hair. Since watching the movie recently, I've been toying with the safari trend - and if I can't fill up my Passport this summer, I may as well dress like a world traveler.

Giuseppe Zanotti Grommet Ballet Flats

Giuseppe Zanotti's grommet ballet flats retail for $495 at Intermix.


Although these are leather instead of suede and both versions have more grommets than the Giuseppe version above, I thought they were both a great option for less cash. The first is by Madison Harding and retails for $185 at Singer22. Click on the photo below if you'd like to purchase these.

Stuart Weitzman Swoon Pump

These pumps by Stuart Weitzman come in several options - the leopard version retails for $395 at The Shoe Box and the black patent retails for $298 at Jildor.

These pumps from Forever21 reminded me of the Alaia version, although they aren't exact. They have a thicker heel for one, and the straps aren't as thin. So, I decided it would make a better inspired by version instead of a look 4 less. In any case, they retail for $28.80 at Forever21 and you can click the photo below to purchase.

This draped dress by BCBG Max Azria retails for $298 at Nordstrom.


Although this dress by Aqua isn't strapless, the draping on the bottom as well as the color reminded me a lot of the BCBG version.
