Inspired by...Iro

A reader recently emailed me asking for an inspired by item for this Iro Eda motorcycle jacket in light denim. This jacket retails for $242 at Shopbop.


This jacket by Silence & Noise at Urban Outfitters does have it's differences, but I feel it's a great inspired by jacket and retails for a lot less. You can purchase this jacket for $88 by clicking on the photo below.

The strong shoulder was a key element of Balmain's Fall 2009 ready to wear collection, and this dress is no exception (exact retail price is unknown).


While not as elaborate, this Silence & Noise dress is a great inspired by option if you're trying to recreate the exaggerated shoulders as seen on the runway. This dress retails for $58 and you can click on the photo below to purchase.

Inspired by...Erin Wasson

Erin Wasson's velvet dress retails for $100 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

This denim and leather jacket by Alexander Wang retails for $595 at Shopbop.

Celeb Style Steal: Whitney Port in Silence and Noise

Monrow Knit Motorcycle Jacket

This Monrow knit motorcycle jacket retailed for $325 at Singer22 but is now sold out. Actress Rachel Bilson wore this jacket and I love how it looks on her (photo credit).
