The J. Crew Gingham Shirt
It's Spring and a friend was asking me about Gingham shirts and we had a little discussion as to whether or not they had become passé. They may go in and out of trend, but to me they are a warm weather classic, perfect with dark denim, white jeans or my favorite slim cargos from Uniqlo.
My personal favorite is J. Crew's Secret Wash Van Buren Gingham in Dark Blue. Super thin and very soft cotton with a slim, but not too slim fit. It looks great with a Navy blazer, under a neutral sweater or just on its own. Just don't wear one to Lyon, the new West Village bistro or you'll get mistaken for a waiter.
