Among other things, look what Eric left me under the tree. The Neil Barrett Spring 2011 Navy cotton voile tuxedo shirt from my Wishlist and just in time for New Year's Eve. Thanks honey.

Christian Louboutin Rollerball/Rollerboy Denim Spring/Summer 2011

image: christianlouboutin.com

Finally a pair of Christian Louboutin Rollerboy Spikes that I love. We were strolling through the West Village this weekend with my dear friends visiting from London and I stopped dead in my tracks over these dark denim/ruthenium hardware spiked Rollerboy slippers at Christian Louboutin's darling boutique on Horatio Street. This new variation for Spring/Sumer 2011 had just arrived on Friday and is available for women as well. The contrast between the dark denim and ruthenium hardware is a bit more subtle and casual than the earlier iterations of this now classic shoe. Eric decided that I couldn't live without them and bought them for me.

Dries Van Noten Spatter Scarf

image: style.com

What appears to be aggressive dye spatter, is actually hand painted by a couture atelier in Lake Como, Italy and contrasts beautifully with the delicate silk and cotton fabric of this Dries Van Noten Spring 2011 scarf. 60% cotton/40% silk.

Available at IF Soho and here. $460 USD.

Jil Sander Flower Power

A bold look from the Jil Sander Spring 2011 show, this blown up photo print will liven up any outfit. The unnatural saturated color and out sized proportion takes this flower print into a new surreal territory.

Available at Jil Sander here. $495 USD.

Prada Spring 2011 Espadrille Brogues Special Order Program

image: prada.com

Prada has launched an on-line Special Order program to satisfy the espadrille brogue frenzy. Included with your order is a custom monogrammed shoe bag. What an incredibly clever reaction to the market. Take your pick, order your size and wait a few weeks.

Available at Prada.com here.

Dries Van Noten Spring 2011 Blouson

images; style.com

I suppose if I had a signature item of clothing it would be a blazer. I have so many blazers and almost all of them are two-button, notch lapel and very sharply tailored. But, I am feeling the need for something more relaxed, and non-chalant.

Dries Van Noten featured perfect versions of relaxed jackets for Spring 2011, including this boyishly charming blouson available at Bergdorf Goodman Men.

Lanvin Spring 2011 Gladiator

images: barneys.com

Lanvin takes the gladiator to new heights with its cacophonous sport couture hybrid sandal. The disparate elements of python mixed with functional neoprene, all on a Teva inspired rubber sole. Chunky ski boots clips finish off this boldest of statement makers.

Available at Barneys NY here. $995 USD.

Balenciaga Seashore Tote

A standout bag from Balenciaga this Spring 2011 is the Seashore Tote. The clever design is both graphic and functional. The Green trapezoidal strap webbing creates "corners" on an otherwise unstructured tote. Add a flash of orange patent leather to the Azure Blue coated canvas and you are ready for Summer vacation. It even comes with a charming matching pochette.

Available at Balenciaga New York, Barneys NY and My Theresa here. $945 USD.

The J. Crew Gingham Shirt

images: jcrew.com

It's Spring and a friend was asking me about Gingham shirts and we had a little discussion as to whether or not they had become passé. They may go in and out of trend, but to me they are a warm weather classic, perfect with dark denim, white jeans or my favorite slim cargos from Uniqlo.

My personal favorite is J. Crew's Secret Wash Van Buren Gingham in Dark Blue. Super thin and very soft cotton with a slim, but not too slim fit. It looks great with a Navy blazer, under a neutral sweater or just on its own. Just don't wear one to Lyon, the new West Village bistro or you'll get mistaken for a waiter.

Available here. $59.50 USD.

For Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2011, Marc Jacobs naturally tapped NYC based tattoo artist Scott Campbell to join the ranks of Richard Prince and Takashi Murakami for the Luxury brand's latest collaboration. After all, Scott's work is permanently featured on the Marc Jacobs' body. In addition to temporarily adorning the Spring/Summer 2011 runway models with neck tattoos, Scott Campbell also contributed images of the Chinese Zodiac to the Louis Vuitton Etole Tattoo.

Thank you Osman for helping me to choose the Khaki over the runway featured Blue.

Limited quantities available at Louis Vuitton boutiques worldwide.

IONY Japan Relief Tee

Havaianas X Missoni X Jeffrey NY

Summer will be here shortly and I always get a fresh pair of Havaianas. I was lucky enough to get advance notice about the Havaianas X Missoni collaboration from Jeffrey NY and I went in the day they arrived to pick up my pair. I know $60 for a pair of flip flops seems insane, but hey I've never claimed sanity when it comes to fashion. At least they came in a cute box with a sweet little Missoni nylon mesh bag.

Limited quantities available at Jeffrey NY.
