Prada Fall 2010 Coat Dilemma
I am having the hardest time deciding between these two Prada Fall 2010 coats. Of course they share many of the same design details, including the perhaps too signature chunky knit double collar, but the silhouette is entirely different. The knee length coat is perhaps the more classic choice, but also feels more retro with the wide belt detail on the back. The ultra cropped pea coat is fresh and new, but maybe will feel dated by 2012. Quel dilemme!
By the way, the coats were delivered without the ruched sleeve detail, they are just extra long and the heavy wool gabardine fabric does not lend itself to being scrunched, so the look will be cleaner once they are hemmed to the proper length (I like my coats with very long sleeves, covering at least 1/3 of my hands.
