Armor Lux for Bloomingdale's

Though I generally shy away from patterns, I do love stripes. This classic Navy/white Breton striped sweater is part of a capsule collection from Armor Lux exclusively for Bloomingdale's. Armor Lux has been around since 1938 and has 30 boutiques throughout France. The thick, substantial merino wool is sturdy yet luxurious. I love the subtle button detail at the shoulder, the slim fit and simple branding.

Bloomingdales Briefcase $350

There has been a lot of discussion of the Target rip-off of the PS1 bag by Proenza Schouler, but I find the bags to be sufficiently different in design, quality and price to let it rest. However, when I saw this Bloomingdales version of a classic Prada briefcase, I was stunned. While I am sure both the leather and hardware are of somewhat lesser quality, the design is identical. The original Prada version is $2450 and has been a part of their permanent men's collection for some time. The Bloomingdale's version is $350. Has Bloomingdales gone too far?
