John Bartlett Tiny Tim Camouflage Spring 2011

John Bartlett with Tim closing his Spring 2011 collection

Neighborhood favorite and rescue dog activist John Bartlett has immortalized his rescue dog with a clever camouflage print for Spring 2011. If you look closely you can see that the print is composed of silhouettes of his three legged rescue dog Tim. Thank you John M. for the info.

Paris Spring 2011: Lanvin Men

images: gq.com

Lanvin continues to dominate the Paris menswear scene with one of the best shows of the season, expressing a consistent message with no lack of ideas. Evolving from Fall 2010, the slightly more butch pretty boy Lanvin, marches forward. The bicycle shorts look fresh in luxe jersey, as does the cropped trench/motorcycle jacket hybrid. Definitely time to lose the love handles.

Paris Spring 2011: Ann Demeulemeester Men

In a bold conceit, Ann Demeulemeester had a precise presentation of 20 outfits in all White followed by the exact same 20 in all Black for a total of 40 looks. She looked to her past and re-invented signature styles for a forward thinking show with a slimmer silhouette than we come to expect from romantic Ann. Here's to the future.

Paris Spring 2011: Comme des Garçons Homme +

So much has been said about the plethora of skull prints that literally came swinging down (in the form of skirts) the Comme des Garcons Spring 2011 Men's runway and I, for one, have no interest in these prints, however technically dazzling they may be.

What I want are beautifully crisp White shirts paired with ultra slim calf-grazing Black pants and black leather blazers with cut-outs. The barely formal cut-away jackets with easy drop crotch shorts are a must as well. One of my favorite Paris collections.

Prada Spring 2011

The three button jacket is back and super slim, often paired with looser pants as we see the Prada Man move into a bit more volume this season. Fantastic graphic sweaters closed the show.

Alexander McQueen Men Spring 2011

The Alexander McQueen man has a nonchalance this season with relaxed asymmetrical jackets and peg leg pants. The neutral palette and mix and match styling feels modern. You could easily slip one or two pieces into your wardrobe for an instant update.

Jil Sander Spring 2011

Raf Simons continues to evolve the Jil Sander Man with eye searing Op Art patterns and over scale floral prints. Silhouettes were slim and classic Jil Sander. COLOR.

Neil Barrett Men Spring 2011

Always a modernist, Neil Barrett's dark man this season is wearing single and double breasted jackets so slim, they can be tucked in. Even slimmer pants and chunky sandals finish the look. I can never resist a beautiful tuxedo shirt.
