The double monk strap shoe is a current obsession of mine and this pair from Black Fleece in pebble grained leather have a heft that I can appreciate. A clunkier shoe feels new right now and the English welt construction and leather lining are top notch. The Hermès homage was certainly clear at Thom Browne's Moncler Gamme Bleu Fall 2010 presentation in Milan this week, but the riding gear and the Beagles had a more British inflection than French. I hope the riding boots go into production. Hell, I love the whole outfit. Perfect for walking my dogs.
